I was shocked... my first choice was to order to Halibut.. but sadly I couldn't! I've had about five different dishes, and only one (the Halibut) was good (great in fact), while the other dishes were mediocre at best. Service was awful; clearly overwhelmed by the crowds, not a reflection on the staffers themselves. Terribly long waits for everything (drink arrivals, food arrivals, etc). Furthermore, out of three bottles of wine we tried to order the last time we were there, they didn't have any of them. The location is amazing (gorgeous build-out), and the Chef has proven himself at other restaurants of his. I'm chalking my bad experiences up to early opening kinks that will get sorted over time. That said, I'm not going back until some of my foodie friends sign off that the issues have gone away. I think we're all desperate for an alternative to The Kitchen (next door to Salt), but Salt's going to need to take it up several notches if they're going to compete.
